For this reason, it has been fitted with a range of tools and options that allow you to normalize the signal, add an echo effect, reverse the track and even control playback speed. The latter proves to be the most valuable because the transformation applied to the source is considerable and delivers some really good sounding ‘voices’.

A fun EVP generator

All in all, EVPmaker 2.5 Activator Free Download isn’t an application you can use on a daily basis unless you’re really committed to creating some authentic ghosts and from that standpoint, it’s a really handy tool.

Electronic Voice Phenomenon refer to those paranormal utterances that appear in some recordings created with both analogue and digital recording media and which have no physical explanation. According to the experts in this field, you need to offer some raw audio material to these voices so that they can use it to form their own messages. This tool creates such material by using standard speech, which can be pre-recorded or produced on the fly from a variety of sources (your own voice, a radio station, etc.). By using pseudo and real random numbers, it labels each phoneme in the message, extracts them from the original recording and rearranges them in a way that makes the new audio material completely unintelligible – and EVP recording. The program can use different sources for its RNG process, such as a fractal equation, a simple text file, your own sound card, etc.

You can then build your own EVP session by using as many sound samples as you wish and typing in specific questions to be answered by paranormal voices.

EVPmaker Features:

  • A wide variety of RNG sources
  • None
  • Fully customizable sound recording

These EVP audio files can then be customized and optimized by applying some sound effects, such as adding an echo, reversing the signal, changing the playback speed, and so on. Once the EVP audio files are ready, this program allows you to build your own full EVP session. This consists of various EVP recordings (or the same one played repeatedly by using the “loop file” function) mixed with the questions you want to ask the voices. You can type these in directly into the program, which will create a report with both your questions and their answers, when these happen.

System Requirement:

I switched from PC to Mac, and I can no longer install EVPmaker. Is there a Mac version or something comparable? Thanks for letting me know and kind regards, Melanie.

Unfortunately, EVPmaker doesn’t have a Mac version, and I don’t know of any application with a similar function. There are quite a few applications like Voxal, that help you modify your voice, but I’m not sure if they also offer paranormal sound features.
However, there’s another solution that you can try. You can easily use a Windows emulator like WineBottler or Boot Camp and install EVPmaker directly on your Mac through one of them.

What’s new in last version:

Added an "Auto-cut" function which automatically inserts cutting marks
(cues) into the loaded WAV file at positions of the lowest volume.
This way, the random-controlled playback will perhaps sound more
Solved the problem that for some WAV files that don't keep to the standard (e.g. a missing pad byte with an odd chunk size) the Cue List wasn't found.

  1. I’ve been using this tool for several years I’m communication and research. Excellent tool for the serious and doesn’t get near as much attention as it should.

  2. Hard to ujnderstand where you can create a CD that will restore what you already wrote to another drive. Have to search through menus to find the option for it. A little too geek oriented and not enough “helpful instructions” on the so called help screens provided. Hopefully restoring my backup drive will work, after I get done testing Windows 8 which doesnt let me use many of my programs.

  3. This is: Power AMR MP3 WAV WMA M4A AC3 Audio Converter 1, by another name. BEWARE! How many different words are there for trash! It would not let me convert (1) mp3 fully, to determine how good, or how fast, or how capable this software is, but it had very active/agressive pop-up ads to get me to buy the regestered version for $19.00. It is uninstalled now. Dismissed!

  4. I must uninstall and install 11.6 every morning and afternoon. It simply does nothing but crash. I know when I have to uninstall and reinstall it because I see a Grey Screen with a frowny face lego advising it has crashed. I try to reload — no good. Gotta uninstall and reinstall if I intend to see a video. I now have a copy of the 10.3 version I can install. It never crashes. Adobe has seeded a stupid alert that makes it stop working — but I simply reactivate it, and viola we are in business again.

  5. The interface is very simple, yet I was unable to determine how to rip a simple DVD.

  6. Not sure how I feel about the action center yet, have to use the new version a little longer to form an opinion. It may turn into a con for me…

  7. Easy to uninstall?!! I am weary of any and all software and toolbars that add itself to my computer witrhout my knowledge or permission. Make it easy to uninstall and delete completetly…and make it ask for permission to install to begin with. If you have a great product, it will sell itself without the need to be insidious like this. Babylon toolbar would not go away even after I uninstalled. Fix this so people will trust you.
